The theory above turns correcter and greater to my own experience recently. And I believe everybody will be hugely benefited if he knows how to use the theory effectively and how to manage his resources of interpersonal relationship efficiently.
"HOW" should fall into three aspects or steps I think:
1. Try to associate with as many persons who have rich resources of social relationship as possible. Everything and everyone are connected with each other in the world, that' s to say, who controls more resources, who is the King.Therefore, please do often remind yourself of digging the potential social relationship sources around you, through your family, relatives, friends, teachers, classmates, etc.
2. When you've grasped the opportunity to train with some such kind of persons. Please do keep in touch with them consistently even they may make no differences to you currently. Cellphone message and E-mail could be the best ways to keep the relationship when you can't meet them constantly.
3. If you wanna make your resources more valuable, you should make yourself more valuable first! When you have increased your value, you will increase the value of the persons you have known above as well. And at that time, a well-rounded social relationship network will appear ultimately.
